How the Visit Works
- Describe what you see — Where the water is, whether it is hot or cold, how many fixtures are affected and whether the main valve is off.
- Confirm address and access — The property address, any gate or building access, and where the water heater and main shutoff are if you know.
- Approve the repair — The plumber explains what failed and what it costs before anything is opened, drained or replaced.
While you wait: shut the water off at the meter box near the curb if it is running, stop using fixtures on a blocked drain, and keep away from standing water near outlets. Leave gas connections and hot systems alone.
